Upcoming Speakers at Western

This is an exciting time at Western! In the coming weeks, a great number of high-profile thinkers will be visiting campus to speak on various issues.

First, Ralph Nader will be giving a lecture on Canadian Independence: Salvation or Sacrifice to Canada-U.S. Relations” on Tuesday March 15 in Natural Science Room 145.  Doors open at 4:45 and the lecture will begin at 5:15. Tickets for the event are $5 for students and $10 for non-students and the lecture will also be followed by a book signing in NS 7. Dr. Barbara Kellerman of Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government will also be giving a free public lecture on political leadership on Tuesday March 22nd at 1:30 in UCC 146.

Finally, Dr. Wade Davis, a world-renowned anthropologist and ethnobotanist will be speaking on the relationship between humans and the environment on Friday March 11th at 6pm in NS 145. Tickets for this event are also $5 and can be purchased from InfoSource or online at www.wadedavisatuwo.com.
