After months of planning, designing, and writing, the Political Science Association is proud to present the premiere issue of our newsletter, Sleeping With An Elephant!
Sleeping With An Elephant is designed to help Western Political Science students escape the university bubble and engage in current world affairs. Each issue features sections devoted to Canadian Politics, American Politics, Canadian-American Relations, and International Relations. Further, included in the newsletter is an aggregation of links to particularly insightful articles (from scholars, journalists and think-tanks), political cartoons, and videos.
The focus of the January 2011 edition is voting and elections. Inside you will find:
- Political spectrum test
- A discussion of Bill C-575
- Recap of the 2010 US midterm elections
- Articles regarding Obama’s budgetary issues
- An introduction to the Tea Party movement
- US political cartoons
- American perspectives on Canada
- and more!
